Our Staff and Committee

Jenny

Jenny is the Pre-School Manager, Designated Child Protection person and SENCo with a first class BA honours degree in Early Childhood Applied Studies. Jenny is also our Level 3 Forest School leader. She inspired by the nurturing natural environment and the holistic learning this can provide the children.

Catherine

Catherine, with her level 3 early years qualification is a Pre-School Practitioner. She has a calm and caring nature and really enjoys imaginary roleplay with the children and playing games, gently supporting the development of early social skills and friendships.  Catherine always has a creative, artistic activity tailored to the children's interests.

Sophie

Sophie is our Deputy, holding a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education. She has a wealth of experience working with young children and really enjoys sensory play, believing that a messy day has been a productive learning day! She encourages children to try again if they don't quite succeed the first time, empowering them to be resilient incorporating the characteristics of effective learning. 

Bex

Bex has gained a Level 2 Childcare qualification and is also a SENCo and Makaton trained. She loves developing children's language and vocabulary. She is skilled at enabling children to take the lead in their own learning and provides nurturing and attentive support tailored to each child's development in the moment.

Fiona

Fiona has been a practitioner at Elsworth Pre-School for over ten years and holds a Level 2 qualification in Early Years. She is nurturing and enjoys helping the children achieve their objectives and supporting them to problem solve and to be independent. She encourages an early love of literacy through her enthralling story telling.

Emma, with her Level 3 qualification is a Pre-School practitioner. Building children's confidence and independence through encouragement and challenges tailored to each child's needs. Emma is so often found enriching children's play, adding new language and extending children's learning through child-led play.

Becky

Becky is our relief practitioner. She is enthusiastic and has a love of baking, supporting children with early maths skills, personal hygiene and nutrition as she makes culinary delights with the children.

Mia

Mia, our newly qualified level 3 practitioner has a natural enthusiasm for outdoor play and high energy listening games with the children. She enjoys in the moment planning to enhance the play and development of our Pre-School children. 

The Committee

The Pre-School is run by a committee of volunteers who act as trustees.  Without the dedicated support from parents and the community in these roles the Pre-School cannot operate.  We welcome volunteers to be on the committee or to support the Pre-School in fundraising or time. If you are able to help please contact us.
